Doc's Kids are: Doc's Kids were born in May of 1996 along the banks of the Mississippi River. Named for their Jazz inspiration Dr. John Paulson, Doc's Kids have been entertaining crowds from day one. With their first cassette release of Derek's Meat, they introduced the world to Lucas and his infamous socks. After the unexpected success of Derek's Meat, the duo joined forces with Benny Balloon (drums) and The Weav (bass) to fill out the sound, and later released Armani Suits & Combat Boots, a mostly live collection. Their growing legion of fans and always entertaining antics lead to their supposedly final record, a grand spectacle entitled Full of Dirt and A Nickel Richer. Preparing to say goodbye to their loyal union of fans, DK put on the show of a lifetime at Cornstock '97 and gracefully bowed out of the spotlight. It was only a few years later the founding members J. Bell & BPZMAG found each other again and pooled creative juices to record Relaxed, But Not Too Slow in 2000. Back to their original two man force, a little older and a little wiser Doc's Kids picked up their pop onslaught right where they left off. In the summer of 2002, Doc's Kids recorded the first two EP's in the EP Trilogy. They are entitled "Shenanigans" and "Tomfoolery", respectively. Songs from these include their ode to Bob Barker in "Come On Down", a song about lost love, eating pudding, and listening to the Smiths in "Snack Pack", and the always popular set closer "Stacy". Doc's Kids took their show on the road for the first time and headed out to Milwaukee and Chicago for the “Slippery Summer Tour ’03. It was a very fun time and we will be heading back to Chicago in June '06 for another tour. "Ballyhoo" (the final installment of the EP trilogy) was released in November of 2005. With songs such as "Bye Bye Bananas" (#23 all time comedy, garageband.com), "Bandaid" and "Pink Eye", this EP really set the bar high for this genre of music. Doc's Kids will hit the road again to complete yet another bona fide Upper Midwest tour and play in Eau Claire, Madison, and Chicago. Be prepared!!!
